What up guys, this is Roland's permission post. In addition to being that nameless faceless guy who you see show up in cowboy movies and ride out with the evening mists, Roland has a number of talents. You've heard about how great he is with guns, you know how cool he is with trail handing, now there's the unusual aspect of being a gunslinger - that's right, Roland's Ka-tet each had their own abilities and Roland's was a talent for hypnotizing people.

That's right. hypnosis.

I being so excited to bring you guys this derp (And yes, he is a derp.) forgot to include it in my app, but I have canon to back it up and having running it by a mod they agreed the best thing to do would be put up a permissions post and bring you all this potential!

Roland may be new but he has a very linear line of thinking. That being said, naturally he may want to find out what people remember before arriving in the area. After some thought and discussion - barring approval from the mods - Roland's canon allows for people to use energy from different worlds and realities to make things. These things block human memory. (They're called Maerlyn's rainbow).

(The best example I can give you is when he was hypnotizing his girlfriend at the time and when she encountered the rainbow she basically said "It's pink." Roland understood that someone had tampered with her memories). Given how most people know thanks to the former technicians in the box that this might be a giant game of sorts - Messing with memories isn't too far a stretch.

So if you're hypnotized by Roland all you're going to end up seeing is the last few moments before you're snatched and then black. And the longer he holds you under it the more it will hurt and cause you to scream. No new information UNLESS THE MODS OKAY IT.

However anything relating to box issues, Roland's hypnosis works just like regular hypnosis. It can take you away and put you into a dream like state and you remember things you don't normally think you would.
